Do you have a family history of breast cancer?
No but both mother and maternal grandmother had ovarian cancer.
As a person, what gives you your strength?
I am continuously inspired by those around me whose kindness and selflessness touches others. <y colleagues and students amaze me daily.
Briefly state in your own words something about yourself that you want people to know:
I never could have made it through the ordeal of having breast cancer without those closest to me. My husband’s unconditional love and patience help me every day to accept myself as I am. My parents and sister uplift me while providing endless support. My children’s laughter and warmth touch me more each day and my best friend Michele’s endless optimism and words of encouragement humble me. I am eternally grateful to all my doctors at MCV like Dr. Harry Bear, Dr. Stephen Chen and Dr. Mary Helen Hackney for giving me the life I was meant to lead.
