When were you diagnosed? spring of 2007
How was it found? I suspected something was amiss w/ my left breast @ the spring of 2007 after an injury to it continued to be painful. I went for my annual mammogram in August & asked the tech to consult the on-call physician about it before I left the office. was sent for a biopsy & the results confirmed that I did have cancer- Stage 3a . I had a mastectomy in September.

As a woman what gives you your strength? God gives me strength!
Briefly state in your own words something about yourself that you want people to know. A year earlier, I was talking to my brother about "life" & realized at that moment I had peace within my soul. I remarked that I was happy that it did not take a life threatening illness for me to come to this point. When I began to suspect that something was amiss with my health, I felt God's presence calming me & it stayed throughout this experience. Being calm in this situation was strength. I have just finished the Chemo & Radiation Treatments & will face the rest of this challenge with the same confidence that when all is done, it will be well with my soul! I pray that others will hear my message, put their lives right with God & receive God's blessings.
