Children3 Wonderful People; Chris, David and Britainie
When were you diagnosed?October 2010
How was it found? Polly Stephens with the Virginia Breast Center confirmed my worst fears after a self examination
Do you have a family history of breast cancer? No
As a woman what gives you your strength? If you ask the people I work with they would tell you my “wicked heels” give me my strength. But I would say it’s my belief that everything happens for a reason. I believe thinking positive thoughts will produce positive outcomes. This is how I live my life.
Briefly state in your own words something about yourself that you want people to know.
I wouldn’t say I’m glad I was diagnosed with cancer, but I wouldn’t say I wish I wasn’t either. It makes you realize just how quickly things can change, and it changes you forever. My family and friends have been a tower of strength for me, going through something like this restores your faith in the Human Race. I have met the most amazing people on this journey, and I wouldn’t want to change that.
One person CAN make a difference......be that person
